Vasanta-pancami is the first day of Spring and in Govindaji Gardens, the mango buds are blossoming in profusion and new flowers are blooming. To celebrate this event, it is the tradition that Deities in Vrndavana are dressed in yellow and decorated with many flowers, green leaves and new shoots.
The pujaris dressed Sri Sri Radha-Madhava in a gorgeous yellow outfit and decorated Them with many garlands which were made by the asrama devotees. At noon, Their Lordships were offered a wonderful feast which was honored by all the devotees.
Vasanta-pancami is also the holy appearance day of Srimati Visnupriya Thakurani, Sri Pundarika Vidyanidhi, Srila Raghunatha Dasa Gosvami, Srila Raghunandana Thakura, and it is the disappearance of Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura.
