The holy month of Karttika (Damodara Masa) is currently being observed at Govindaji Gardens. Just as the month of Magha is non-different from Sri Krsna, the month of Karttika is non-different from Srimati Radharani. During this month, devotees increase their sadhana to please Radharani and accrue increased spiritual benefit.
It is also common that the Gaudiya Vaisnavas offer lamps to the Deities and sing the Damodarastakam from the Padma Purana, glorifying the pastime of Yasoda-mayi binding Lord Damodara with ropes to a grinding mortar.
