Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa Puja

The day after Janmastami, corresponding with Sri Nandotsava, Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa-puja was observed. In attendance were Srila Narasingha Maharaja, Srila Visnu Maharaja, B.S. Madhava Maharaja, B.A. Avadhuta Maharaja, B.V. Giri Maharaja, Haridasa Babaji Maharaja, the ashrama devotees, as well as the devotees from Mysore and Bangalore.

In the morning, Puspanjali and arati were offered to His Divine Grace followed by lectures given by Narasingha Maharaja and Visnu Maharaja.

Srila Visnu Maharaja spoke first from Sri Guru and His Grace and explained the importance of Sri Guru and of the types of sukriti one must have to attain the shelter of a genuine guru.

Next, Srila Narasingha Maharaja sang Srila Prabhupada-lila Smarana Mangala Stotram and then spoke on the proper definition of guru, who cannot be considered a guru, and how a sincere disciple sees beyond the external vision of the spiritual master. He also read from Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa-puja offering to Sarasvati Thakura 'Adore Adore Ye All' and gave a short explanation of some of the points in this poem.
