Srila Prabhupada's Disappearance Day

Govindaji Gardens
Nov 13 2010 - Event

This year, our observance of Srila Prabhupada's disappearance day at the puspa-samadhi was informal and intimate. Many of the devotees from Govindaji Gardens were at Radha-Damdara Temple in Vrndavana following the observance there.

Giri Maharaja began by singing Narottama Thakura's Je anila prema-dana, then Jagadisvara Prabhu was requested to say a few words. He read some pages of Sri Damodara Katha, from the chapter entitled Prabhupada at Radha-Damodara. After this, a lively discussion took place amongst the devotees concerning many topics pertaining to Srila Prabhupada's life and preaching.

Dhira-lalita Mataji then spoke about her own experiences with Srila Prabhupada and also about the day the devotees received the news that he had entered nitya-lila.

At 7.20 in the evening the devotees offered puspanjali and guru-puja to His Divine Grace. This was the time that Srila Prabhupada left this mortal world in Vrndavana on November 14th 1977.
