On January 14th 2020, 12 days after the disappearance pastimes of Srila Bhakti Gaurava Narasingha Maharaja, disciples, friends and well-wishers gathered at his samadhi to observe the 'viraha-mahostava' (transcendental memorial).
After bhajans led by Gaura Gopala and Kunjavihari, senior devotees such as Sripad Bhakti Bhavana Vishnu Maharaja, Sripad Prema Kisora Prabhu, Sripad Bhakti Abhaya Goswami Maharaja, Srimati Dhira-lalita Mataji and Sripad Bhakti Vijnana Giri Maharaja spoke on the life, achievements and teachings of Srila Narasingha Maharaja. Disciples such as Kunjavihari, Caitanya Dasa, Rupanuga, Advaita Acarya, Syamasundara, Gaura Gopala, Caitya-guru and others also spoke.
Although the occasion elicited feelings of intense separation amongst the devotees, it was also a chance to share their experiences and appreciation for their Gurudeva as well as to share and appreciate each others service to him.
Many preparations were offered to Srila Narasingha Maharaja while Vishnu Maharaja offered arati and Prema Kisora Prabhu led a wonderful kirtana.
After prasadam, seeing the transcendental mood of the occasion, many first-time guests spontaneously approached the devotees with offers to help build Srila Narasingha Maharaja's samadhi-mandira. We are hoping that the samadhi-mandira will be completed by Narasimha Caturdasi this year.
