On September 2nd, 2010 Sri Krsna Janmastami was celebrated in the little town of Huejutla, Mexico. Devotees from India and all over North America flew in, as well as friends and relatives from different parts of Mexico made it to Huejutla for the special occasion. Kirtana and bhajana commenced early in the day and were lead primarily by Haridasa Babaji Maharaja with his guitar. The cooks performed miracles in the kitchen and cooked over 100 fantastic preparations with a unique mix of India and Mexico.
Srila Narasingha Maharaja gave a nice talk in English to all which was translated into Spanish by Hrsikesa Prabhu. Fellow Swamis and devotees performed an abhishekam. As the aratika went on, the devotees chanted and danced. The devotees gave jayas and honored an amazing Mexicano Maha-Prasadam feast. Finally, the children had the time of their life with a piñata event! The day was joyous and full of good tidings.
