In the last days of Srila Narasingha Maharaja's manifest pastimes, his dear disciple Advaita Acarya Dasa, had requested him for his blessings to accept sannyasa. Srila Narasingha Maharaja had already spoken about this on many occasions, so when this request came from Advaita Acarya Prabhu, he was extremely happy to confer his blessings upon him.
Advaita Acarya Dasa has been at the forefront of book publication and distribution at our ashram for many years. He is very learned, austere and very dedicated to his Gurudeva. Indeed, due to his saintly qualities, Advaita Prabhu is very dear to all the devotees of our mission.
Srila Narasingha Maharaja personally selected the sannyasa name & title, but, due to his poor health the ceremony was postponed in the hope of his recovery. However, on January 2nd 2020, Srila Narasingha Maharaja entered the divine eternal pastimes of Sri Sri Radha Krishna.
Thus, on January 15th 2020, Sripad B.V. Giri Maharaja conferred sannyasa to Advaita Acarya Prabhu on behalf of Srila Narasingha Maharaja, with the blessings of Sripad Vishnu Maharaja, Sripad Goswami Maharaja and Sripad Prema Kisora Prabhu on the banks of the holy River Kaveri at Govindaji Gardens.
Advaita Acarya Dasa's sannyasa name is now Swami Bhakti Vallabha Yati Maharaja.
