On 26th August, devotees and members of Sri Narasingha Caitanya Matha performed nagara-sankirtana in the city of Mandya.
Over the last few years, our devotees have been giving programmes there, but this was the first time that they had done hari-nama in Mandya. About thirty devotees and members of our Mysore and Mandya sangas, led by Giri Maharaja and the devotees of our asrama attended, and for two hours they sang the maha-mantra in the cities' streets and distributed invitations for our upcoming Janmastami festival.
In fact, this was the first time nagara-sankirtana had ever been performed in Mandya, so it was somewhat of a historical occasion – so much so that there were some articles written about the even in the local Kannada newspapers.
The next day, our devotees again performed nagara-sankirtana in the nearby town of Srirangapatna and Ganjam village led by Madhava Maharaja and Visnu Maharaja.
