The devotees of Sri Narasingha Caitanya Matha celebrated the installation of Sri Sri Laksmi-Narasingha on Wednesday, November 19th.
After the morning pujas were over, devotees enthusiastically decorated the temple of Lord Narasinghadeva with flower garlands and prepared for the installation ceremony. At 7:30 am the Deity of Laksmi-Narasingha was brought out onto the temple veranda and placed in a snana-vedi (bathing tray).
After preliminary rituals, Srila Visnu Maharaja performed the abhiseka ceremony as Srila Narasingha Maharaja led the devotees in singing the prayers to Narasinghadeva. On completion of the abhiseka, the Deities were brought back into the temple for the prana-pratistha and were gorgeously dressed in red silk, jewelery and beautiful flower garlands.
Visnu Maharaja offered an arati to the new Deities after which everyone came to take caranamrta and darsana of the Lord. It should also be mentioned that the sringar (ornamentation) for Yoga-Narasingha that day was exceptionally wonderful.
In honor of Sri Sri Laksmi-Narasingha, a nice feast was offered and honored by all the residents of the asrama.
