Devotees celebrated the 6th installation anniversary of Sri Jagannathadeva and Sri Sri Gaura-Gadadhara on 19th January, corresponding with Pusya-abhiseka.
The program started with bhajanas and then HH Giri Maharaja spoke on the significance of Pusya-abhiskeka in relation to Lord Jagannatha, the ontological position of Gaura-Gadadhara and also the famous verse 'Nilambodhi-tate' composed by Srila Sridhara Maharaja.
The pujaris then bathed the utsava Deities of Gaura-Gadadhara in pancamrta. After the bathing ceremony, the large Deities were brought out and placed on the ratha and taken around the compound to the accompaniment of nama-sankirtana and fireworks.
After an elaborate offering of naivedya, arati was offered to the Deities and devotees honoured Their prasadam.
