In this talk from February 19th 1982, Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja is asked what practical instruction is found in the pastime between Vāmana and Śukrācārya. He then explains how according to one's sukṛti, one is guided towards a particular guru. Thus the acceptance of a false guru is due to the "false deeds from one's previous life."
