Śrīla Narasiṅgha Mahārāja gives a seminar at Śaraṇāgati farm in British Colombia on June 23rd 2001. This is the second part of the seminar.
In this video, Śrīla Narasiṅgha Mahārāja speaks about Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura’s relationship with his dīkṣā-guru, Vipina Vihari Gosvāmī, and about the deviations after the time of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura. He also explains how the Krsna consciouness movement is not for increasing the numbers of kaniṣṭhas or madhyamas, but is supposed to make pure devotees.
Mahārāja states that society consciousness breeds doubt in the mind of devotees and gives an example of the history of Back To Godhead magazine. He speaks about the natural love a disciple will have for his guru, and how one must understand that we should be careful to judge one devotee as greater than another as it may result in an aparādha.
He also goes on to say that Kṛṣṇa consciousness exists even outside Prabhupāda’s books and that many people who have not read them are still Kṛṣṇa conscious. Mahārāja answers a question about Śrīla Prabhupāda apparently telling his disciples not to read the books of his godbrothers and explains the context of that instruction.
Narasiṅgha Mahārāja talks about so-called ‘higher’ and ‘lower’ rasas, preaching with humility and not trying to enthusiastically imitate Śrīla Prabhupāda’s ‘heavy mood’ in preaching against scientists etc. He also explains about the circumstances how he was kicked out of iskcon and how he became the ‘enemy of Śrīla Prabhupāda.’
