Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura’s appearance day was also observed by our devotees that were in Vrndavana at the time, by performing the Bhumi-puja, beginning the reconstruction of the samadhi of Srila Rupa Goswami at Radha-Damodara temple.
The humble event was presided over by Srila B.G. Narasingha Maharaja and the sevaite-acarya of Sri Sri Radha-Damodara, Sri Nirmal Chandra Goswami. The event was auspiciously performed and it is expected that the new samadhi will be completed shortly after Gaura Purnima.
The old samadhi has been removed to below the ground level and the new stone for construction stands ready for assembly.
Plans for reconstructing the bhajan-kutira of Rupa Goswami and also for the construction of a large kirtana hall are also standing by ready to be implemented.
