Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa Puja

Govindaji Gardens
Aug 29 2011 - Event

After Janmastami, the devotees of Govindaji Gardens celebrated Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa Puja.

Early in the morning, Prabhupada's samadhi was profusely decorated with flowers by Syamasundara Prabhu and Syamananda Prabhu. By 10:00 devotees and guests arrived and Gaura-Gopala Prabhu led them in the chanting of Ei baro karuna koro by Narottoma Dasa Thakura.

Srila Narasingha Maharaja arrived at the samadhi and sang the first few verses of Srila Prabhupada-lila Smarana Mangala Stotram. He then gave a wonderful class explaining vaisnava-tattva and how even rarer than the pure devotee is the devotee who is empowered by Sri Krsna. The class was simultaneously translated into Kannada by Sri Gopala and into Spanish by Marco.

After the class Srila Guru Maharaja offered arati to Srila Prabhupada as the devotees offered puspanjali and Madhava Maharaja led them in singing Sri guru carana padma.
